HQ Architects office in Tel Aviv is located in a renovated space, formerly an abandoned carpenter’s workshop.
The structure in which the office is located was the home of a carpenter’s workshop. In record time, and abiding to strict budget restrictions, the abandoned 180 meter square raw space was transformed into a loft-like working environment. Within a period of 8 weeks, the team developed and implemented a full gut renovation that required the installation of new electrical and mechanical systems and new finishes throughout. The intent was to highlight the building’s history – mixing the raw, unfinished surfaces with new construction work and materials – and to bring back some of its former glory.
