Lod is currently divided by the railroad tracks – determining factor on the street hierarchy and on the creation of open spaces and public functions. Our plan creates a new centrality that stitches the urban fabric together.
By defining a perimeter envelop that restrains the future constructions in the new plan, allowing flexibility. There are a number of rigid rules that must be preserved, such as the continuation of the urban grid, its connection to a park along the railroad track and determining the uses of the foundation floors according to the nature of the surrounding streets, etc.
