This residential building introduces a new housing typology to a rapidly transforming neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv — one that emphasizes natural light, shared space, and low energy use.

Replacing and partially preserving elements of an existing structure, the project includes both housing and commercial units at street level. At its core is an open-air courtyard, a departure from the typical Tel Aviv block, offering light and ventilation to all units while creating a communal space for residents. Large shared balconies overlook the courtyard and extend visual connections toward the park across the street. The courtyard also supports passive climate strategies — providing shade in summer and allowing direct sunlight to enter during winter months. The result is a compact, context-sensitive building that enhances both urban life and domestic comfort.
